Cheaper Home Batteries Program rebate
The federal rebate applies a tapered discount across the first 50kWh of usable battery capacity. The rate depends on how much of your battery’s capacity falls into each band:

The dollar value also depends on the STC Factor at the time your system is commissioned, which steps down every six months. We confirm exactly what your battery qualifies for as part of your quote — no guesswork, no inflated numbers.
New from October 2026: free daytime electricity
From 1 October 2026, Victoria’s Midday Power Saver scheme gives households an opt-in option for three hours of free electricity every day, from 11am to 2pm, through participating retailers. It’s available to Victorian households generally — you don’t need solar or a battery to take part. But if you do have a battery, it’s a strong pairing: charge it for free during the midday window, then use that stored power in the evening instead of buying it at standard rates. We can factor this into your system sizing if you’re planning ahead for it.
